Phyllis Chapell performs a unique mix of originals, folk, jazz and international music, including songs in up to 11 languages from the U.S., Brazil, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Phyllis Chapell has performed in concert throughout the U.S., in Brazil, Latin America, and Europe. She has released 2 solo CDs, "World Songs" and "Voice in Flight" and she has released several CDs with her World Jazz ensemble SIORA. Her latest CD with SIORA, "Vis-a-Vis," garnered a 4-star rating
by AllMusicGuide.com and has been played on national jazz radio throughout the U.S. and in Europe as
well.
She won 2nd place in the Just Plaln Folks Competition 2001 for her song "Soul in Flight" (Best

From Phila: 76 West to King of Prussia, West on Gulf Rd to 23 West. 8 miles through the park, pass Exxon station, Right on Starr St at next gas station. 1 mile, left on Bridge St at T intersection find parking. Cobblestone is next alley on left at the corner with Iron Hill Restaurant. Walk half a block up the cobblestone to wooden gate on left.

From downingtown:

113 toward Phoenixville, merge with Bridge St. Follow Bridge St. to downtown Phoenixville. Look for the Columbia Hotel restaurant on right and find parking. Cobblestone is next alley on right at the corner with Iron Hill Restaurant. Walk half a block up the cobblestone to wooden gate on left.

STEREOSHRUTI-HANGHANG - coming soon!
Stereoshruti-Hanghang is a musical Feast: Hang drums, Indian shruti, tabla, African drums, guitar, Swiss koto and voices. The shruti box is an Indian drone box which embodys spirit. The Hang drum is a Swiss instrument combining the mystical sounds of the Carribean steel drum with an African Udu drum.

Ron Kravitz and Dante Bucci, hang drum extraordinaires are joined with Lynn Miller vocalist,who plays the Swiss koto, a hybrid instrument that combines the Indian tambora and the Japenese koto. Natasha Dastur weaves rhythms from West Africa and India creating world music beyond this world! www.lynnmiller.org
